Steve Jobs  who is a college dropout co-founded Apple with his friend Steve Wozniak. He introduced the world with one of the most innovative products ever- iPhone. 1.Focus:

Focus was ingrained in Jobs’ personality. He said,“Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.” You  should focus  on your intuitions, visions and ideas. You should relentlessly filter out all the distractions from your organisation, team and products. Don’t let outside competition ruin your focus.

You have to figure out your vision for your company, product and stick around it to execute your strategies. 

2.Do the Right Things:

If the management on the top does the right things, the bottom line will follow. What is meant by that if you get the right strategy, if you have the right people and if you have the right culture at your company – the bottom line will follow.

Being a leader at top you have the responsibility to create proper examples to follow. Be a leader of ethics, culture and values so that your vision reiterates to the bottom.

3.Be Both Thinker and Doer:

Jobs observed that the doers are the major thinkers. The people who really change an industry are both Thinkers and doers. Combining both skills of thinking and doing was what resulted in the exceptional result. The people who really make contributions have been the thinkers and the doers. One can change the world only by action. So action is as important as thinking in a creative process. So make sure you are both thinker and doer.

Always  ask why you do what you do? The majority of business people don’t know why they do what they do. Nobody thinks very deeply about a business. In a business a lot of things are folklore . If you are willing to ask a lot of questions and think about how they work and work really hard  you can learn a business very fast. This will help you separate yourself and your company from market competition. We will be able to find the right products and services for your customers. By questioning everything you will be crystal clear about your vision.

5.Make Great Product:

Steve Jobs never thought about making money or was aiming to maximize profits. His determination was to create a great product to make human life more convenient and more creative. He totally transformed modern life with his vision.  

Now we entrepreneurs will dig deep to create our product that will help people. We should focus our energy on the technologies which we think are in the ascendancy. We should try to work on technologies which are right for our customers. Some people don’t like our products. They’re gonna mock us. But don’t lose faith. Just make an insanely great product and the profits will follow.

6.Perseverance:

According to jobs what separates successful entrepreneurs and non successful entrepreneurs is pure perseverance. A lot of people want to be entrepreneurs. They simply don’t have any kind of business idea. Entrepreneurship requires a lot of hard work and sacrifices. 

If you are not passionate about your idea you are gonna fail. It is so hard and you have to put so much of your life into this. It is an 18 hours a day job. So to survive this you’re gonna have to have a lot of perseverance for your idea. 

7.Work with “A” Grade People:

Steve Jobs wanted only “A” players players in apple. We are aware of how tough Jobs was on his employees. But his dealing with people emanated from his passion for perfection and his determination to work only with the best one.

“My job is not to be easy on people,” Jobs said. “My job is to take these great people we have and to push them and make them even better.” He hired talented individuals, showed them how good they could be, and gave them responsibility. He said, “When you recruit really good people,you have to give them a piece of the business and let them run it.”  He also knew how to spot and get rid of conventional thinkers whom he called the bozos. 

Hire the best people, reward them generously, and purge all bozos. 

8.Be a great Storyteller:

Steve Jobs was the most charismatic communicator on the world stage. No one else comes close to him. He was also a persuasive storyteller. Jobs’ ability to inspire the crowd is legendary. Steve Jobs’ presentation was intended to create an experience – that leaves his audience awed,inspired and wildly excited.

So develop your storytelling skill. This will benefit your career, company and personal success.

9.Follow Your Passion:

Steve Jobs believed,“People with passion change the world for better.” One must have a lot of  passion for what they are doing. Entrepreneurship demands a lot of our energy and focus. If you do not love what you are doing, you are gonna give up. It’s very hard to sustain on things which don’t inspire you. So do the things which inspire you.
